Mark Walther, an avid and active supporter of Character Counts! in Glenview, retired after co-chairing the group for 15 years. His last meeting was June 9.
Succeeding Walther is Nate Carter, principal of Northbrook-Glenview District 30’s Maple School, who will join co-chair Jim Bream, an attorney and parent who previously served on the District 30 School Board.
Walther’s retirement from Character Counts! comes as he retires after 33 years with Glenview School District 34, the last 25 as principal of Hoffman School.
Walther has exemplified the six pillars of Character Counts! and the principle of “service above self,” and spent inordinate personal and professional time inspiring and leading others.
Good luck Mark!
