2018 Poster-Video Contest winners

The Glenview Village Board of Trustees on October 16, 2018 recognized winners of the annual CHARACTER COUNTS! in Glenview Poster-Video contest.

Students were asked to create a poster (grades K-4) or video (grades 5-8) using one or more of the Six Pillars of Character.

More than 330 poster and 60 video entries were received from 11 schools.

The winners were presented with monetary prize awards generously provided by Kiwanis Club of Glenview-Northbrook.

Kindergarten-Second grade

1st place — Nicholas Tirpak, 2nd grade, Lyon School

2nd place — Liam Polyanovsky, 2nd grade, Lyon School

3rd place — Ethan Kim, Kindergarten, Willowbrook School

Third-Fourth grades

1st place — Naomi Chiang, 4th grade, Willowbrook School

2nd place — Caroline Lato, 4th grade, Pleasant Ridge School

3rd place — Madeline Barbaro, 4th grade, Hoffman School

Fifth-Sixth grades

1st place — Mia Hermann, Maia Abrahams, Sophia Abrahams, 6th grade, Maple School

2nd place — Marisa Chi, 6th grade, Maple School

3rd place — David Kang, Alexander Chae, Jaden Cho, 6th grade, Maple School

Seventh-Eighth grades

1st place — Darshan Kommanapalli, 8th grade, Maple School

2nd place — Noah Smith, 7th grade, Attea Middle School

3rd place — Rachel Kunkel, 8th grade, Springman Middle School
