2019 Poster-Video Contest

The Glenview Village Board of Trustees on November 21, 2019 recognized winners of the annual Character Counts! in Glenview Poster-Video contest.

Students were asked to create a poster (grades K-4) or video (grades 5-8) using one or more of the Six Pillars of Character.

Almost 350 poster and 60 video entries were received from 12 schools.

The winners were presented with monetary prize awards generously provided by Kiwanis Club of Glenview-Northbrook.

Kindergarten-Second grade

1st place — Veronica Tirpak, 1st grade, Lyon School

2nd place — Nora Macfadden, 2nd grade, Our Lady of Perpetual Help School

3rd place — Ellie Doan, 2nd grade, Our Lady of Perpetual Help School

Third-Fourth grades

1st place — Eva Koster, 4th grade, Pleasant Ridge School

2nd place — Sophie Feng, 3rd grade, Willowbrook School

3rd place — Aarya Nigam, 4th grade, Glen Grove School

Fifth-Sixth grades

1st place — Atticus Kim, Zachary Karchman, 5th grade, Wescott School

2nd place — Adriana Given, Claire Booker, Julia Booker, 5th grade, Willowbrook School

3rd place — Naomi Chiang, 5th grade, Willowbrook School

Seventh-Eighth grades

1st place — Tim Tirpak, 7th grade, Springman Middle School

2nd place — Marisa Chi, Josiah Cho, 7th grade, Maple School

3rd place — Padraig Costigan, Eric Blomberg, 8th grade, Attea Middle School
